Digital X-Rays

The data from a digital x-ray is stored in a digital format, and can be easily pulled up chairside during your dentist appointment. This gives both the patient and the dentist a better idea of what's going on inside the mouth.

Why do we use digital x-rays?

Digital x-rays provide extremely detailed, accurate images of your whole mouth. Their digital format allows us to enlarge specific areas, which helps the dentist better understand your oral health needs.

Digital x-rays allow us to detect problems earlier, which can help prevent developing issues from getting worse.

Are digital x-rays safe?

Yes, digital x-rays are very safe. While all x-rays produce small levels of radiation, these levels are completely safe in digital x-rays.

How often do you need an x-ray?

This can vary significantly from person to person, depending mainly on oral health needs.

Some people need them every six months. For others, every year or even every two years is often enough. We'll let you know if you need an x-ray at your next appointment.
