How does cosmetic dental bonding work?

Dental bonding is a non-invasive process. It involves applying a natural looking composite resin material onto the tooth to cover up small cracks or gaps.

The material is then hardened, smoothed and polished. The whole process is typically completed in a single appointment, lasting one or two hours.

Cosmetic bonding procedures require little or no drilling or anesthetic, and we can bond several teeth during a single dental appointment. In addition, dental bonding is one of the least expensive ways to make improvements to your smile!

Bonding can help correct many different aesthetic problems, such as stubborn stains, gaps between the teeth, or chips or irregularities.

How do I care for my dental bonds? Do they look and feel natural?

For a couple of weeks after your dental bonds are applied, your dental bonds might feel a bit strange as you grow accustomed to the new shape and size of your teeth. Most people get used to it rather quickly, and soon you won't notice the difference at all.

As long as you brush and floss daily and visit the dentist at prescribed intervals, your dental bonds will last for many years, looking and feeling just like your natural teeth.
